Unbiased Solutions

BASEnergy offers expertise in a range of renewable energy applications or combination of technologies and is not tethered to a particular vendor in any way. Unlike other companies that only deal with one specific type of technology, we evaluate all available options and propose integrated systems that provide the greatest efficiency.

Depending on each client’s unique need, some of the below technologies may be considered as well any new, renewable energy applications that enter the marketplace.

BASEnergy Solutions

Energy Conservation

Reducing energy consumption through a more effective use of automation; system controls for building equipment and through the use of emerging and current lighting technology and lighting control.

Photovoltaic Solar

Arrays of photovoltaic electric panels that produce electricity directly from sunlight. We evaluate the various technologies available for collectors and interface equipment based on available area. There is also emerging co-generation technology that produces electricity and heat from solar energy.

Thermal Solar

Arrays of hot water panels that absorb sunlight heat and transfer it to water to offset boiler energy.

Fuel Cells

Exothermic chemical process that produces electricity and heat or just electricity in a more sustainable manner than power obtained from the Electric Grid.

Co-Generation

A system that utilizes natural gas electrical generators to produce power and at the same time recover heat to offset heating or cooling with other less efficient systems. The use of boilers and electrical grid power is approximately only 50% efficient in converting fuel into electricity and heat. Co-generation systems are 85% efficient.

Gasification

This is the process of super heating lumber or urban waste that it essentially “melts” rather than burns; the result produces synthetic natural gas that can be used for boilers or electric generators. This technology is specific to larger scales or projects.

Wind Turbines

Good technology for utility scale. Also small-scale wind can be implemented in urban environments in conjunction with other technologies as a branding element.

Geothermal

Technology to use the constant heat deep below the earth’s surface to produce heat for boiler tasks, cooling for chiller tasks and even run electric generators.
